I like to travel. I like to meet new people. I like to taste new food. I like to discover and explore new great places.

About a year ago, I was walking down the street in the beautiful Copenhagen trying to pick a place, perhaps a bar and thinking what makes this place better than the other. A lot of things matter. For example the interior, the people, the vibe, the sound, the music. You opened the door and based on what you hear, you either love it, or it’s ok or even worse: you want to turn around and leave.

“Music expresses that which cannot be put into words and that which cannot remain silent.”
Victor Hugo

I kept on thinking about what impact it makes on our choices what we hear and when I met my friend Vytautas Sabaliauskas, I shared the idea with him.

I said, imagine Spotify already knows what music do you like and wouldn’t it be great to find the place to go to based on your music taste. Or imagine you’re having a dinner with your friends and would love to receive a notification if someone suddenly started to play a saxophone nearby.

And it happened so that we both began to talk about this idea more and more and decided to see how far we can push this idea forward.

So this is how a mic.ai project was born.

The purpose of this newly launched blog site is to share the progress with a larger audience, hopefully, receive some feedback or even better find like-minded people who would like to combine the efforts and do something great together.
